Back in high school I had a HUGE interest in acting. I never took Drama class but managed to get roles in all the plays the school had while I was there including the lead role in my last year.
This prompted me to seriously contemplate taking Drama or acting in college. I had a few auditions set up for some programs but my poor high school ass couldn't afford to pay the audition fee's so I never went.
Every now and then I think about "what if" I went to those auditions and did good in the programs? I watched this documentary on BRAVO yesterday about this guy making it to Broadway and I must admit it got me jealous on how he was so driven to do it. I guess in these days of American Idol, America's Next Best Dance Crew, So You Think You can dance, etc..the arts is more an accepted career choice for people these days. I'm just upset at myself that I never stuck with it. I was always worried about what people would think, but as I grew older, not giving a fuck about what people think became who I am. Too bad I didn't have that back then. Imagine what could've been..
